Position: Desktop Support Engineer

Experience: 2 to 4 Years and above

Job Location: Ahmedabad (HO, Makarba)

Salary: Rs. 2,40,000 to 5,00,000 INR

Shift Time: Rotational

1st Shift 5:00 am to 2:00 PM

2nd Shift 3:00 PM to 12:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to all technical issues raised by staff on an immediate basis and ensure timely resolution.
  • Respond effectively and promptly to user problems across multiple branches.
  • Assign and allocate hardware or software as required, with senior approval.
  • Provide end-to-end operational support for systems, hardware, software, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to IT infrastructure using telephone, email, or remote support tools.
  • Install Windows 11, Server OS, and Linux systems on desktops/laptops and manage device allocation for employees.
  • Maintain and update operational, configuration, and procedural documentation.
  • Perform regular system updates, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot new and existing software applications.
  • Install and configure hardware, drivers, and peripherals on end-user computers/laptops.
  • Manage frequent user relocations or workstation movements as per business needs.
  • Handle and support multiple third-party tokens/applications such as Tally, TDS, CDSL, Odin, Money Maker, Greek, etc.
  • Ensure all computers and laptops have updated OS security patches and Windows updates.
  • Maintain Endpoint Security Antivirus and ensure all systems are updated with the latest virus definitions.
  • Create, manage, and resolve support tickets within agreed SLA timelines.
  • Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stay self-motivated and proactive toward responsibilities.
  • Perform end-user data backup and restoration.
  • Maintain and administer endpoint security clients on all desktops and laptops.
  • Maintain proper documentation of day-to-day activities.
  • Prepare MIS reports and update seniors on daily tasks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of IT processes and submit detailed daily/weekly reports.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/Wi-Fi/ network issues.
  • Provide support for CCTV camera installation, configuration, NVR setup, and maintenance.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for laptops and desktops, including setup, configuration, and retrieval.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and asset lifecycle (allocation, movement, disposal).
