Designation: Motor underwriting and quote creation

Department: Operations

Reporting To: Head – Operations

Key Responsibilities

Quotation & Pre-Sales

  • Prepare accurate quotations for New Business and Renewals based on requests received from Relationship Managers (RMs) and clients.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain competitive quotations.
  • Arrange pre-policy inspections as required.

Policy Issuance

  • Generate and share premium payment links through insurance company portals.
  • Verify premium receipt before issuing policies.
  • Issue policies after successful inspection and completion of underwriting requirements.
  • Coordinate with insurers, clients, and Relationship Managers for smooth policy issuance.
  • Ensure all policy documents and supporting backpapers are complete.

Documentation & Operations

  • Share issued policies and complete documentation with the Inwarding Team for SIBRO entries.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all issued policies.
  • Resolve operational queries from Relationship Managers and internal teams.
  • Follow up with insurance companies for endorsements and policy corrections.
  • Maintain accurate daily operational records and MIS in Microsoft Excel.

Claims Administration

  • Register and close reported claims in the SIBRO system.
  • Upload and maintain all relevant claim documents.
  • Coordinate with insurers, clients, surveyors, and internal teams for smooth claim processing.
  • Ensure timely updating of claim status in SIBRO.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in any discipline (Insurance/Commerce preferred).
  • 1–5 years of experience in General Insurance Broking or Insurance Company Operations.
  • Experience in Motor, Health, SME, Property, or Commercial Lines will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of insurance quotations, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, and claims.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SIBRO or any Insurance Broking Software is preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
